Welcome to our team Fundraising Page!
We are proud to partner with Greater DC Diaper Bank this fall to support families across our region who are struggling to access basic hygiene items.
Our team—Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Alpha Gamma Chi Omega Chapter—is joining other Prince George's County organizations to raise dollars and collect hygiene products that will be assembled into hygiene kits for families in need. These kits will include essentials like period products, deodorant, soap, and shampoo, and will be distributed through trusted community partners, including in Prince George’s County.
How you can help:
- Donate dollars to help purchase supplies in bulk
- Contribute products to go directly into hygiene kits (must be dropped off by September 15), or diapers, training-pants/PullUps, or diaper cream
- Share this page with friends and family to help us reach our goal
Every dollar and item makes a difference. Together, we’re helping families feel supported, seen, and cared for—with dignity at the center of it all.

**NOTE: Please add "AKA" to the gift note for your purchase so Diaper Bank staff know to place your items on hold for this event!** All items from this list (purchased via Amazon or elsewhere) must be delivered to the Diaper Bank by COB on 9/15 to be included in our kits.

Adult Hygiene Kit Contents (50 kits total):
- 50 - Unisex bath/body wash. Any brand. 12 to 17oz each.
- 50 - Unisex shampoo. Any brand. 12 to 16 oz each.
- 50 - Unisex conditioner. Any brand. 12 to 16 oz each.
- 50 - Unisex deodorant. Any brand.
- 50 - Unisex bar soap. Any brand.
- 100 (2 per kit) - Unisex disposable razors. Any brand.
Period Product Kit Contents (50 kits total)
- 500 Pads - light flow. Any brand. 10 of each per kit.
- 500 Pads - regular flow. Any brand. 10 of each per kit.
- 500 Pads - heavy flow. Any brand. 10 of each per kit.
- 500 Liners. Any brand. 10 of each per kit.
- 50 Feminine wipes. Any brand. 1 pack of each per kit.
- 50 Pouches. Any brand. 1 of each (holds kit contents)

All kitting items ordered via the Amazon link above will ship to GDCDB's warehouse for consolidation and inventory in preparation for our event. GDCDB will bring all kitting items to the event for our teams to kit.
Kitting items not purchased through the Amazon link may can be dropped off to GDCDB Monday - Friday from 9:00a - 3:00p through September 15, or by special appointment by contacting volunteer@dcdiaperbank.org.
GDCDB is located at: 8860 Monard Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
All diaper products purchased via the Amazon link will be shipped to the team captain of record.
For products that are not purchased through Amazon, the event organizers kindly request that you hold all diaper, training pants/Pull-Ups and diaper cream donations until October 4, at which time you can bring them to the event (9a to 12p at the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center).
If you will not be available that day, please reach out on this page to arrange an advanced drop-off.
